This month, we talk to ProspectorTrades.com. A brand new startup based out of Wheaton, IL, Prospector Trades offers stock recommendations to investors by helping people decide what to buy, when to buy it and also when to sell.
Founder Scott Mrozek opted for a video so he could easily convey the entire business quickly and easily.
“I thought I could tell my story in a more compelling and concise way than I could by the written word,” he said.
Mrozek called the whiteboard animation video his “main selling point” and has placed it front and center on his website to act as a guide for people who want to know exactly what Prospector Trades does.
“People can go to a website and look at page after page and read about what you do, or they can watch a 90 second video that explains the whole thing,” he noted. “It’s concise, it’s clear and it’s compelling.”
The small business owner had three main goals he wanted to accomplish with his video:
- Explain how Prospector Trades picks stocks
- Get people excited about increasing their wealth
- Increase subscribers to the service
Targeting people who want to increase their wealth via the stock market, but who don’t know how to get started doing so, Mrozek wrote the script himself. wizMotions supplied some script editing along with the animation and the voice work.
In addition to increasing their wealth, he noted, subscribers to the service will also have the opportunity to increase their knowledge of the stock market in general.
Although Prospector Trades faces a lot of stiff competition in the stock advice industry, Mrozek says Prospector Trade’s simple formula and low subscription price will set it apart.
Not only was Mrozek happy with the way his video turned out, he was happy to only have to deal with one single contact person who coordinated the entire project.
When asked what he might do differently with the project, the Prospector Trades founder said he would have contacted wizMotions sooner. Likely future plans for him include having more videos made to promote Prospector Trades.
Mrozek is just one small business owner who has embraced animated video and the advantages it provides. Rather than filling his site with text that nobody is likely to read, he opted to give visitors the entire gist of his business in one easy-to-digest chunk.
